Overview

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of MayanChart AI, legacy MayanChart, and related pages on mayanchart.com. By downloading, accessing, or using either app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the apps.

1. Scope — MayanChart AI and MayanChart

MayanChart AI is the current iOS app with Free / Pro tiers, on-device AI-assisted readings and Ask, optional private iCloud Continuity, and widgets as described in the app and App Store listing.

MayanChart (legacy) is an earlier product. Features, unlocks, and purchase options may differ by build. These Terms apply to both; product-specific rules below call out differences.

2. The service

Both apps are Mayan calendar / astrology companions for informational, educational, personal reflection, and spiritual entertainment purposes. Chart pillars are computed on device from birth date (and related inputs the app supports).

In MayanChart AI, readings and Ask AI answers use on-device knowledge and, when available, optional Apple Intelligence, with an on-device fallback. Features may differ between Free and Pro; Pro unlocks are described in the app and on the subscription paywall.

Legacy MayanChart may not include AI Ask, Continuity, widgets, or the same Free / Pro model. Use the App Store description and in-app screens for that build as the feature source of truth.

3. Entertainment disclaimer — not professional advice

Content in MayanChart AI and MayanChart is for reflection and spiritual entertainment only. The apps do not provide medical, psychological, legal, financial, or other professional advice. Calendar math and any AI-assisted or interpretive readings are not a substitute for qualified professionals. Do not use the apps for crisis, emergency, diagnostic, or clinical needs. You are solely responsible for how you interpret and act on any content.

4. AI and accuracy

MayanChart AI: Interpretations may be AI-assisted or knowledge-templated. Outputs can vary and may be incomplete or incorrect. Core calendar pillars derived from birth date are deterministic math. Interpretive language is not a prediction of outcomes and is not guaranteed. Birth time and place, when provided, are optional Sky & Timing context only and do not change Long Count, Tzolk’in, Haab, or Night Lord pillars.

Legacy MayanChart: Interpretive content (where present) is likewise not a guarantee of outcomes and is for entertainment / reflection. Exact presentation depends on the legacy build.

5. Purchases, billing, and cancellation (depending on the app)

MayanChart AI — Pro subscriptions. MayanChart AI Pro is an optional auto-renewable subscription offered through Apple’s App Store.

• Plans: Pro Monthly and Pro Annual. Prices shown in the app control at purchase time; App Store listing prices control. Catalog fallback prices commonly used for review are $7.99 per month and $59.99 per year.
• Payment: Charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
• Auto-renewal: Your subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Manage or cancel: Use iOS Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions, your App Store account subscriptions page, or the in-app Manage Subscription controls. Cancelling stops the next renewal; access to Pro continues until the end of the paid period.
• Restore Purchases: After reinstall or device change, use Restore Purchases in the app so Apple can re-check your Apple ID entitlements.

Payment is charged to your Apple ID. Subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the period.

This MayanChart AI build does not currently market a 7-day free trial. If Apple later configures an introductory offer and the app enables it, trial terms will appear on the paywall and in App Store metadata.

Legacy MayanChart. Purchase options (if any) may differ by older build. We do not claim globally that our apps contain no In-App Purchases. If your legacy build offered a purchase, Apple’s terms and your Apple ID purchase history apply. For questions about a specific older build, contact support@mayanchart.com.

All billing, refunds, and payment disputes for App Store purchases are handled by Apple under Apple’s terms, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

6. License and intellectual property

MayanChart AI, MayanChart, including their branding, text, graphics, knowledge presentation, and software, are owned by MayanChart / its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the apps for personal, non-commercial use on Apple devices you own or control.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, reverse engineer (except where law allows), scrape, or republish the apps’ knowledge corpus or content, or misuse the service.

You retain rights in personal content you enter (such as profile names and notes). You grant us only the limited rights needed to operate on-device features and, for MayanChart AI, optional private iCloud sync that you enable.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse MayanChart AI or MayanChart, interfere with the service, attempt unauthorized access, or use the apps in any way that violates law or these Terms.

8. Privacy

Our collection and use of information is described in the Privacy Policy. By using the apps, you also acknowledge that Apple processes purchases (where applicable), iCloud sync (if enabled in MayanChart AI), and related system services under Apple’s terms and policies.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MayanChart AI, MayanChart, and their owners, operators, and licensors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the apps or reliance on any reading or AI output.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the apps or these Terms is limited to the greater of (a) the amounts you paid via Apple for MayanChart AI Pro subscriptions (or other App Store purchases for these apps) in the twelve (12) months before the claim, or (b) if you have not paid, zero (or the minimum amount required by applicable law).

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those places, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

The apps are provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim all warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the apps will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI or interpretive outputs will meet your expectations.

11. Changes and termination

We may update these Terms. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features. We may terminate or suspend access if you violate these Terms. Provisions that should survive (including IP, disclaimers, and liability limits) will survive termination.

12. Governing law

Exclusive venue for disputes (except where prohibited) shall be the courts located in [city / county], except that you may have non-waivable consumer rights in your place of residence.
